Best Kept Secret in Lake Placid. Al treats you like family. Rooms are clean, quiet, quaint, and have memory foam mattresses. Fire pit for night caps and relaxing. 10 miles from downtown Lake Placid. This September was out first visit and will now be a yearly tradition.
There is not a better motel! The owner makes you feel like an old friend in seconds. Everything is great. We have found our new place to stay when we come up to this area.
Microwave, fridge tv and comfy room. Breakfast has coffee, tea, hot chocolate, liq creams and gift shop. Your host and hostess visit and share best food spots for those meals not optioned at MB. Close to the base of white face mtn (bring a extra layer and wind breaker if going up it) and couple hrs to hit VT to tour Ben and Jerry's if it rainy. Good home hospitality. Stay here again! Ice scream and chocolate around corner.
This is the second year we have stayed at Mountain Brook Lodge. The owners are so welcoming, they go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. The rooms are spotless. Everyone is very friendly and accommodating. The area is beautiful, esp in the fall. Mountains with crystal clear lakes and rivers. Al is very knowledgeable about the area and will give very good advice about things to do. We love it at Mountain Brook Lodge!
